Experience

For more than four decades, I have worked as a percussion educator, arranger, designer, and clinician with high school marching bands, drum corps, indoor drumlines, and concert percussion ensembles. Programs and ensembles I have served have earned success at the state, regional, and national levels, including state championships, WGI finalist and championship performances, participation in the Music for All National Percussion Festival, and Bands of America regional and national events.While competitive success is rewarding, my primary focus has always been on helping students develop strong fundamentals, musicianship, accountability, confidence, and a commitment to excellence. I believe the most successful programs are built on a foundation of consistent instruction, high standards, and meaningful educational experiences that help students grow both as performers and as individuals.

I enjoy working with programs of varying sizes and experience levels. More important than where a program currently stands is a commitment to preparation, growth, and excellence. Whether the goal is to build a stronger percussion culture or to pursue competitive success, I enjoy helping students and staff take the next step forward.

Current Availability

I am currently accepting a limited number of recurring instructional assignments in the Fort Mill, SC and Charlotte, NC area.My primary interest is working with programs seeking consistent weekly instruction through sectionals, rehearsals, camps, and ongoing percussion program support.
